Laundry Detergent Recipe

Here is the *powdered* cloth diaper detergent that we use. I found it somewhere online, but I’m not sure where. There are tons of other recipes out there if you’re interested in something else (possibly without Borax?), but these work for us!

Homemade Diaper Detergent

1    cup Washing Soda
1    cup 20 Mule Team Borax
1/2 cup Oxyclean

Combine all ingredients.

Use 2 tablespoons for a small load, 1/4 cup for a large load.

Was the site tipnut.com? I found my recipe there that I started with and then “tweaked” it to work with our water better.

I don’t think so…she may have changed her design since then, but it doesn’t look like it. Thank you for the suggestion, though! Looks like an awesome site!

How many loads will this do?

I’m not sure exactly how many loads, but I know that using it for my diapers, washing every 2-3 days, it lasts me well over a month – I think it’s more like 2 or 3 months.
