Today I have the privilege of sharing another great WAHM, Jeni of Red Barn Diapers. Her fitted diapers have been on my list for a while now, and I’m thrilled to share my thoughts on the Nifty Nappy Bitty Bum today!
Red Barn Cloth Diapers is an official Licensee of the Nifty Nappy™ diapers. The Red Barn Nifty Nappy™ diapers are handmade by Jeni, where her and her husband live in the Red Barn.
Jeni sent me an adorable Bitty Bum fitted to review. When I first saw it, I squealed! In my opinion, nothing says “squishy” like an itty bitty newborn fitted, and a super girly one like the one she sent me is just the icing on the cake!
I was itching to get it on Lily’s bum, but I waited until my mom visited us at the hospital before putting it on her because my mom loved it too. The Bitty Bum fit her well from the very beginning! This was one of the few diapers that was small enough that it didn’t bother her cord stump during the first few days. However, that also means that it will be one of the first diapers that she grows out of, too. I didn’t need to use the crossover snaps with Lily, either. However, they are just as strong as the other snaps on the diaper and would hold up quite well for smaller babies.
The Bitty Bum is a trimmer fitted diaper, and even with the added booster it hasn’t been absorbent enough to last for very long. Usually newborn diapers don’t need to be too absorbent, though, because they aren’t on the baby’s bum for very long. However, with Lily’s super wetting abilities, this diaper is soaked through every time I go to change it. On the other hand, we have not had a blowout in it.
The inside of the Bitty Bum is a very soft fleece. I love how easily Lily’s EBF (exclusively breastfed) poop has rinsed off of it. This diaper hasn’t stained for us, and even though the knit outer fabric has faded just a bit, the diaper still looks new. My Bitty Bum is definitely one of the diapers that I will be saving for another little newborn, so I’m very thankful that it’s in great condition. As you can tell from the picture above, Lily already has some chunky thighs. This diaper fit her well when she was just born and had skinnier thighs, and I’m so glad that it hasn’t found its way out of rotation just yet. If you’re looking for adorable fitted diapers at any age, I highly recommend Red Barn Diapers. Her work is of excellent quality, and the results are just gorgeous!
