I have a not-so-secret new hobby. Or obsession. You can decide for yourself which it really is.
I knit.
My husband’s aunt taught me the basics last year, but it wasn’t until the past month or so that I really got into it. I started knitting dishcloths. Upon dishcloths. I think I’ve made 7 total.
Last week, I started knitting baby hats, and I’m finishing up the second one.
I’m officially a member on Ravelry, a knitting site for knitters and crocheters, too. I have tons of patterns that I’m anxious to try out! Mostly it’s more dishcloths along with a lace baby hat, a lace baby blanket, and a sweet baby cardigan. Wonder who those last 3 are for?
I’m really excited about learning how to knit! The more that I learn and the better I get, the more that I look forward to the five minutes or so that Abby gives me to work on projects. The best part is that even when I’m working on a simple design, I’m being productive. Not to mention the fact that when I say I’m knitting, it sounds ridiculously domestic. Even if the house is a wreck.
