Little Bee Co. Bee Changed Review and Giveaway

A few months ago Jeniffer had the chance to review for The Little Bee Co. (you can read her review here), and we were excited to be able to host a giveaway for one of these great diapers. I have been excitedly waiting for my turn since then, and it’s finally here!

If you aren’t familiar with The Little Bee Co., I want to share this company’s amazing vision with you. “Bee Changed, and Change the World.” For every diaper purchased, reviewed, or won in a giveaway, The Little Bee Co. donates a diaper to an orphan in need. How awesome is that? In addition to providing a high quality diaper, their passion is to help children in need and bring awareness to the orphan crisis in our world today.

So far the company has done diaper drops in Uganda, Ethiopia, China, and Jamaica, and more are being planned for Haiti, Guatemala, Honduras, and Cambodia. You can view a beautiful video and pictures from their first diaper drop at their website here. You should go watch it now. I’ll wait ;)

I knew from the first time I heard about this company that I loved their heart. But after having the chance to use and test their product, I know that I can recommend it for it’s own sake too!

I reviewed the Bee Changed Micro Suede Diaper. This is a one-size pocket diaper, that comes with two microfiber inserts.

One of the inserts is a full-size insert that has snaps to adjust the size. The second insert is a contoured newborn insert. The two inserts can be used individually, or snapped together for greater absorbency.

I also love that the full size insert has a tag - makes sorting inserts so much easier!

I love the fact that the full-size insert can be snapped down! It helps so much with a clean, smooth fit.

This is the insert snapped down all the way.

The Bee Changed diapers only come in snap closures, which are personally my favorite! They also have cross-over snaps for tiny waists, and which also allow you to “wrap and go” when storing messy diapers while out and about.

Diaper wrapped up!

The Bee Changed diaper also features front elastic to help contain messes

You can see the front elastic. There is also elastic in the back around the pocket opening.

Little Bee diapers come in nine beautiful colors, each representing a country and focus on children in need. You can read more about what each color represents here. I chose African Rain.

My husband has been blessed to participate in several mission trips to assist children in Africa. For these children water is a luxury. During the dry season it is common for children to walk miles to find water from the closest well. I can only imagine their prayers for rain. To represent these children: African Rain {A vibrant aqua}

This diaper is such a beautiful color, and it definitely brings water to mind! Looking at it is a pleasure, and a wonderful reminder to pray for those who don’t have access to clean water like we do.

The Bee Changed diaper is hands down one of my favorite diapers. I love the trim fit! This diaper is also very absorbent, even with just one insert, and we never experienced any daytime leaks. We did try it a few times overnight without success, but my son is a very heavy-wetter, and most pockets don’t cut it for him overnight. I think that with both inserts this diaper would work great at nighttime for most babies.

One thing I do want to point out is that this diaper is definitely smaller than most of my other one-size diapers. If you have a petite child who doesn’t fit well in most one-size diapers, I think these would be perfect for you! However, if you have an older toddler who is still in diapers, these may not work. I only tried it on my 3.5 year old once, and even on the largest rise and waist settings, it barely went on and left really bad red marks. My 1 year old has a much stockier build then his brother, and is currently on the last rise setting. He still has plenty of room in the waist though, so I’m hopeful it will fit for awhile to come!

I love the fit around the legs!

Personally, I love these diapers so much I would love to buy several more, especially since I know that my money is helping to support a wonderful mission!

This sounds like a great company, and the diapers are adorable. I accidentally started the Rafflecopter signed in under the email address I don’t use often, and then resigned in with the one I do, but I did not duplicate any entries. I hope that’s ok.
